Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with the Head of Department in designing, reviewing, and updating the curriculum for the assigned subject.
- Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Teaching Coordination:
- Provide leadership and guidance to teachers within the subject area, fostering a collaborative and positive teaching environment. Coordinate lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies to ensure consistency and alignment with educational goals.
- Teacher Development:
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and professional development of teachers within the subject area.
- Provide mentorship and support to enhance the skills and capabilities of the teaching team.
- Student Progress and Welfare:
- Monitor and assess student progress within the subject, implementing strategies for improvement as needed. Address student welfare and behavioral issues in collaboration with relevant stakehold
- Administrative Duties:
- Oversee administrative tasks related to the subject, including scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure the smooth running of departmental activities.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication within the department, ensuring alignment with overall educational objectives.
- Collaborate with other department heads and school leadership to enhance cross-functional initiatives.
- Parent and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with parents and stakeholders to provide updates on curriculum, student progress, and departmental initiatives. Address concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement within the subject area and propose strategies for enhancement.
- Stay updated on educational trends and implement best practices within the subject
- Any other ad-hoc projects or assignments which might be assigned from time to time.
Education/Certifications/Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in specific subject or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Teaching certification or relevant educational qualifications.
- Proficiency in curriculum development and educational technology.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Organizational and administrative proficiency.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Innovative thinking and adaptability.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of teaching experience with a demonstrated track record of excellence.
- Previous leadership or coordination experience within an educational setting is preferred.
