As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for an Intern Teacher to join our team.
What You’ll Do:
As an Intern Teacher at Mind Stretcher, you will be interacting with students to help them develop a love of learning and enabling them to reach their full potential. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student performance, communication with parents and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student development.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development Support:
- Assist in designing Curriculum: Help in developing lesson plans, course materials, and educational resources that align with the academic standards and goals of Mind Stretcher.
- Research Educational Trends: Conduct research on current educational trends, pedagogical strategies, and curriculum innovations to suggest improvements.
- Evaluate Existing Curriculum: Participate in the review and evaluation of existing curriculum materials and suggest modifications or updates as needed.
Instructional Support:
- Classroom Assistance: Provide support to lead teachers during classroom instruction, including preparing materials, making classroom activities, and assisting with student management.
- Lesson Planning: Collaborate with teachers in planning and organizing lessons, including identifying appropriate teaching strategies and materials.
Student Support for Clinics:
- Tutoring and Mentoring: Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring session to support students who need additional help.
- Monitor Student Progress: Observe and report on student behaviour, participation and progress and participate to assist teachers to provide targeted support.
- Facilitate Discussions: Lead small group discussions or study sessions to reinforce classroom learning and encourage student participation.
Administrative Tasks:
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of informative materials and resources for project reference.
- Organise Educational Materials: Assist in organizing and maintain educational resources and materials.
- Help plan and execute educational events and workshops.
Any other ad-hoc projects/tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Language, Mathematics or Science is a plus.
- Passionate about learning and educating the younger generation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Available to perform teaching duties and relief duties on one weekend day. Able to perform duties on one weekend day.
- Past teaching or Tutoring experience will be a plus.
